What this statement covers

This statement covers clatige.com and the two forms on it: the request for quote and the general contact form. It does not cover sites we link to. Once you leave clatige.com, the privacy statement of wherever you land applies instead.

What we collect

When you submit a form. Your name and email address, and the message you write. Your company name and telephone number as well, if you choose to fill them in. On a request for quote, also the service pillar and the destination market you select. Neither form collects anything you did not type or choose.

Please do not put more into the message field than the enquiry needs. We do not ask for, and would rather not receive, passport or identity document numbers, bank details, or anything about someone’s health, religion or political views.

When you visit a page. Our hosting provider records the usual server access data: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string. This happens on every website; it is how a server answers a request and how abuse is spotted.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• Answering a request for quote. Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. You have asked us to price something, and we cannot do that without your details.
• Answering a general enquiry. Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us. If you write to a business, being written back to is what you expect.
• Keeping the site available and secure. Lawful basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in a site that stays up and is not abused.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it, and an enquiry will not put you on a mailing list.

Who processes data on our behalf

The following parties process personal data on our instructions and for no other purpose.

• Our n8n instance — receives every form submission from your browser and runs the validation and spam checks on it. Everything you type into a form passes through it.
• Google Workspace (Google) — receives the notification email a submission generates, and holds one row per submission in a Google Sheet we keep as an audit record.
• Firebase Hosting (Google) — serves the pages and holds the server access logs described above.
• Cloudflare — Turnstile and Web Analytics. Turnstile judges whether a form submission comes from a person rather than a script; where it is enabled on a form, your browser loads a script from challenges.cloudflare.com and Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical signals from your browser in order to make that judgement. Web Analytics counts page views in aggregate; where it is enabled it is cookieless — it stores nothing on your device and does not follow you between sites.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything. It stores nothing in your browser’s local storage or session storage either. That is why you were shown no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

If we ever add a tool that does set a cookie, a banner comes with it, and this statement changes first.

Sending data outside the Netherlands

Clatige sources in Europe for businesses in Uganda. The substance of your enquiry — together with your contact details — will reach the parties needed to answer it: suppliers in Europe, and where an export is involved, carriers and agents. Answering the enquiry is not possible without it.

Separately, the processors listed above are US-based groups or operate infrastructure outside the European Economic Area, so your data may be processed outside the EEA.

If you would rather your enquiry stayed inside the Netherlands, say so in the message and we will tell you what we can and cannot do without sharing it.

We update this statement when what we do changes. The date shown at the top of this page is the date this version was published.
